So Long, Insecurity! ....a follow-up event!
So, now that we all have (re)discovered the value of the body of Christ and our individual giftings in it, we're sure to struggle with issues of insecurity about living out God's calling in our lives at some point! I heard about something a few weeks ago that I think would be a great resource as a follow up to our weekend together and I'm planning to be there. I'd love to go up with a group if anyone wants to join me!
It's Beth Moore's "So Long, Insecurity," and it's happening on April 24 as a nationwide simulcast conference.
Here are the details:
Location: New Hope Church - 10330 Carmel Mountain Road, San Diego CA 92129
Time: 8:30 - 3:00
Cost: $39 (includes seminar, lunch, and a copy of the book)
RSVP: New Hope Church at info@newhopechurch.com, or 858.538.0888
Childcare: not provided
Hope to see everyone there!

Life Purpose from Laurie Wallin
So excited to share this with everyone! Thanks for posting, Jennifer and Elizabeth!
Here's mine. The "beautiful" part was something God stuck in as I was writing it Saturday night. It became one of the themes for me personally for the weekend as I thought about my life post baby-making season (we just weaned our last baby...). I'd been a little lost about my identity physically as a woman since then and so here is what God showed me He sees in me right now:
"I am a beautiful woman,
A receiver of miracles,
A practitioner of hope.
One who trusts and believes God,
Who shines in His giftings,
Who embraces life's challenges with joy and strength,
Who helps others see His majesty and love in their lives."

It's simple and straight forward, but it works no matter what my job is or isn't and in all areas of life. It's a part of who I am and something I want to stay true to:
"Mission: To be a tangible source of light and love"

elizabeth's life purpose
Okay ladies, here's my brave moment for the day:
As a beloved daughter of the King, I want to live a life of costly sacrifice,
laying down everything in service of the King,
growing in my strengths and living in grace with my weaknesses,
following my call to shepherd God's people
into the fullness of who He has called them to be.
Truthfully, that feels pretty lofty today, but I think that's because I'm tired :)
Blessings to all of you as you process and grow into the life God has called you to!
love,
elizabeth
